0 MINT / PUDINA CHUTNEY - Type 3

Mint / Pudina Chutney - Type 3


Mint leaves - 1 bunch
Onion - 1 medium chopped into thick pieces

Garlic - 4 flakes

Ginger - small piece
Green chillies - 4 or 5
Tamarind - small piece
Coconut - 3 or 4 tbsp grated

Salt as needed
Oil - 1 tsp



For tempering:

Mustard seeds - few
Urad dhal - few
Curry leaves - few
Oil - 1/2 tsp

 


In a kadai/frying pan heat oil and add onions fry well for 3 - 4 mts or until transparent ..next add garlic, ginger, green chillies, tamarind , saute for another 2 - 3 mts. Next add cleaned and washed mint leaves and fry for 2 mts until the leaves shrink. Then add coconut and remove from fire...cool and grind in a mixer. Add salt and mix...temper it with tempering ingredients and pour on chutney.Mix and serve with idli or dosa.
